Business Analyst (B2B, AI R&D, Consulting)
Softcery is a small, focused team building AI-driven B2B software solutions. We work closely with clients in the US and UK to launch AI voice agents and develop custom B2B platforms. Most of our work involves advanced R&D and complex problem-solving.
We’re looking for a Business Analyst to solve a clear challenge: our Project Leads are overwhelmed. They’re handling everything — from client communication to requirements gathering to project coordination. We need someone who can take full ownership of the business analysis piece — so our PLs can focus on delivery execution.
If the fit is right, this role can evolve into: Lead Business Analyst → Head of Customer Strategy → or a role we shape together. We grow with you, but it all starts with strong individual influence and initiative.
🎯 What You'll Do:
Uncover the real need behind client requests like “we need a chatbot” or “we want a dashboard.” Help them define the actual business problem and the right approach (MVP, integration, or full solution).
Lead discovery sessions with startup founders to understand their goals, business problems and recommend fitting, stage-appropriate solutions.
Collaborate with multiple Project Leads — support them across several engagements by owning the scoping and analysis process.
Write clear documentation — user stories, technical requirements, and scope documents that keep custom development projects on track.

Manage scope changes — push back professionally when clients ask for unnecessary features or misaligned solutions. Be the trusted advisor.
⭐ What We're Looking For:
2+ years in business analysis or consulting — ideally in startups or software services. You’ve diagnosed real problems, not just taken notes.
Strong business acumen — you get how startups operate and can suggest what actually makes sense (e.g., MVP, no-code, integration).
Excellent communication in English (С1+) — both verbal and written. You’ll be leading strategic conversations with US/UK startup founders.
Technical understanding — no coding needed, but you should understand what’s feasible and how long things realistically take.
Confident decision-making — you're not afraid to challenge assumptions and say “no” when needed.
